So if you watch my videos, you will notice that my background is pretty BORING and LAME. I'm sure it turns people off, hahaha.

Does anyone have any ideas of what I could do to make it look nicer?

Your background is fine For me personally, i like it very much You should keep it like that (but that's just me )

Probably put some pictures or a poster of a popular character/tv show. For example I don't stop getting messages about how everyone loves my Sheldon Cooper poster in the background XD
