Have you ever thought that your videos are amazing compared to what's trending right now?
I mean me and you may not make the perfect videos, but neither the top youtubers do. In fact sometimes they are really lame. However, people like whatever they create.

I understand what you mean, in terms of effort I've seen people make videos with white noise sound, grainy video and, well not exactly the 'best' editing and they get thousands of views compared to some people who spend hours on their videos and have great sound and video, getting next no nothing for them :(

Some people doesn't deserve a fame (but they got a lot of em), meanwhile some people deserve a fame (but they have a few only)

I think a lot of it is timing. It's far harder to get a following now than it was a few years ago. It also has to do with how much you appeal to teenage girls, who make up a large portion of the YouTube community.

All these type of topics are basically about the same thing. Why them and not I? There is no clear answer. They just got in at the right moment, caught the eye of the right person. The key to YouTube isn't your subscriber count or your view count. The key is having fun! The subscribers and views might never come in the levels you want them to. But that shouldn't be a deal-breaker. If it is, you joined YouTube for the wrong reasons.

You're right guys, but my point was to make this clear : Youtube is all about marketing. Everything else is not gonna succeed. Except videos that are extraordinary and never repeated before.

I've never been one to follow trends...be that YouTube videos, clothing, whatever. I do what I do, and if you like it, sweet. If not, well that's ok too.

That may mean I don't ever get to 500 subs and that's cool. The whole reason I started a channel was to learn video editing and I'm doing that, so I've already won :)
