Avid Vs iMovie

This "battle" is for the Movie/Video editors out there. While not trying to cause the next world war, I want to know what do you Lady's & Gent's prefer of the other. Myself while not the greatest video editor. I do find myself more inclined to say iMovie MAINLY because I have NEVER used Avid, I feel that I would be an AVID fan of Avid for Windows. (Aho-doh-oh Get it!?) I would Just like to get somewhat of an Idea of what the rest of YTT uses to edit their movies. I Do have to tell you truthfully, my ALL TIME FAVORITE video editing software would be... Windows Movie Maker! With Like ALL 10 of those features, and quick load times! Oh boy, one time I was compiling a film for a friend and it finished only after 2. Seasons House.

But in all seriousness please let me know which you think is better, because it MAY have an influence in what I may use in the future of editing my videos for my channel.

2) I do believe that both have their pros and cons which are both that should be taken into consideration.

3) Which do you use for YOUR video editing?
 
I prefer iMovie for its simplicity. I just need the basic function to create my vids, but people who do a lot of heavy and intricate editing might opt for something else.

Yeah... And these pros and cons are so far apart that someone who is considering either one can't seriously be thinking about the other one.

I use Premiere and Avid Xpress Pro, depending on the project.

I agree with you, I use Avid A LOT more often then I do iMovie. I never actually try to use the other.
