AVI file from VirtualDub couldn't upload onto YouTube

Hello,

Before Tuesday this week, I uploaded a lot of videos under the following format:

I would record some MP3 files and then create a Paint document with some words. I mix the two files together using VirtualDub. Then I save the combined file as an AVI file using VirtualDub.

Next, I upload this AVI file onto YouTube.

Before Tuesday, this worked fine. However, on Tuesday, I did the same procedure and the file uploaded onto YouTube..and when I played it, it would not play. It would make it seem like the file was only 1 second long. I tried this several times and each time it had the same issue. Then I decided to use an old MP3 file that worked before, and did the same Paint document and VirtualDub procedure, and uploaded that. Same issue.

Did YouTube change since Tuesday so that I couldn't upload successfully?

Before you uploaded your video, did the file have .Tmp next to it, if so just take that off and it should be fine :)

Thanks Razgames0,

But it doesn't have the .tmp next to it. And I keep trying and it looks like it uploads but will not play:(:crying:

Thanks Razgames0. Is there any program you recommend? I used to use Windows Movie Maker but it takes too long and slows down my computer. VirtualDub worked well for a while but I guess it doesn't work anymore for YouTube. What other software is good for mixing an image with an MP3 file?

I would recommenced Sony Vegas pro but its quite expensive, but i'm sure you can find "other" ways to get it on youtube
