Audio Issues

I've been using Audacity to record my Live Commentaries and I just noticed that I can never match it up perfectly with my gameplay. Clearly I'm on pace with the game as I play but in editing, things just never sync up...Honestly i think it's because I have to hit start record on both the capture card and the Audacity.. That little 3 seconds or so break is screwing me big time....I can't correct it either.. even if I move the audio bar back the 3 seconds in editing.....Can anyone help? If you need a reference my Deadpool walkthrough around 26 minutes shows it big time.. Thank all that replay

I've never used Audacity, but with most programs, there is sometimes a lag if the bitrate is too high or too low. idk if there is an option for that on Audacity, but if there is you may want to check.

Just try to move the audio bar until it matches up.
I have.. that hasn't been the issue.[DOUBLEPOST=1372826881,1372826858][/DOUBLEPOST]

I will try this :) thanks![DOUBLEPOST=1372826961][/DOUBLEPOST]
Can you move it by frames? It might just be a few frames off.
I'm going to give this a go as well. because it seems to be on point at the the beginning and then lag off track..

Often, video and audio are recorded at different rates. Even a Zoom H4 and a Canon 5diii will desync by about 3 frames every 10 minutes or so.

When you're syncing your audio, try to sync from the middle of a clip, and always avail yourself of the opportunity to resync when you make a cut :)

Good call.

^This. Plus you might also want to check your audio rec settings and try different settings.
