I've Got It
Hey guys I'm here again as always asking for help. Recently I downloaded audacity again to record my voice for my gameplay. I've had it before but now I have this issue that makes my voice sound distorted and u can't hear it and the wave things are really high on the thing. Idk how to explain it but they are thick and idk how to fix it I've looked online but nothing works. Do you guys know what to do? Thanks in advance

try a recording software called obs(the mic is auto turned on)
right click box that says scenes then add scene then highlight over that scene then right click sources then monitor or game capture
then go to settings then broadcast settings then set mode to output only and set a folder to put it in

way easier then what are you using again?

can you post a picture of what it looks like?

Your gain is too high. What is happening is that your audio is clipping due to the source recording either being too high or being amplified too much. Turn the recording volume down in Windows until you can record without clipping. You can even go a bit lower and then use the Normalize function to increase the volume to ideal levels.
