HEY LOOK! a distraction!
to be fully honest I have no real intention to join BroadBandTv because of the constant gripping I hear from the people that are locked in with them but I was recently messaged by a recruiter and I would like to see if anyone has had enough experience with them to confirm or deny some of the things he told me.(heres the messages he sent me)
"Hi there, I'm **** and I facilitate new opportunities for YouTube channels of all sizes at BroadbandTV. With our recent investment of $36M investment from RTL Group, we have built infrastructures to help creators like you to enhance their growth, quality, and revenue online. I'd like to share some options with you to see if it fits your needs."
so I gave him a ballpark of what i'm looking for (no lock in contract, Dashboard/Tools,a good support team, decent cpm, sales team, and exposure. "Just to see what his answer would be"
"Well based on your needs this sounds like a perfect fit. We can offer you a no lock in contract with access to our technology platform called VISO Catalyst. You can increase your visibility on your videos with our updated and relevant keywords and also connect with other creators in our network. In addition you can have access to 25,000 royalty tracks in all genres. We have a 24/7 support team and we have a direct connection to Google. Our CPM is standard across all networks but with our 4 ad sales teams, we can negotiate higher paying CPMs at times when certain campaigns are live. Our TGN Army Hub channel can feature your content and help you gain exposure through social media rts and hashtags."
So he gave me the generic gimmick add-ons except for a few that I don't think he has access to such as the army hub, so I asked him what the rev split was which just blew my mind when I saw it.
"Based on how our tier works, I would have to give you 60%. However, since I believe in you and your channel and the fact that you are very consistent, I'm willing to push my boundaries and give you 70% of the maximized profits. How does that sound to you?"
so that completely floored me and I called him out on it and got this from him as he kept trying to get my email to set up an agreement.
"To contrary belief, CPM is not controlled by networks. It is all based on your keywords and how much advertisers are willing to spend on them. When networks tell you they have a cpm of 5-20 or 10-30, they are misinforming you. In addition to the exposure and resources we can provide you, we have a branded entertainment team that can pursue sponsorships on your behalf. BroadbandTV is a corporation with an office located downtown with around 130 people. There's only a handful of networks that have this structure because we can actually provide you with what we are telling you. Some networks will give you 90% but won't do anything for you. If you want value with what you are sharing, we can help."

and that's the newest message so far so in all honesty i'm just curious if anyone can pull any truth from this or give any insight into this network? and if you've made it this far then thank you for reading

It's more or less for the higher cpm and possible exposure/ collabs

I wouldn't rely on their CPM claims because they are almost always inaccurate and if you want to collab have a look on the forum section here on YTTalk, there is loads of people there, or start up your own one. I wouldn't recommend connecting with a network, especially if you heard bad things about them in the past.

Exposure is usually only for large channels. Collabs can be found everywhere. Even if they give you a higher cpm, you still give them a percentage more.

I would like to suggest you that even they told you via email or something other platforms

but when we are going to join their network we need agree some common terms and conditions

-------- HERE IS THE TRUE PROBLEM TRAP FROM THEM ------

but we blindly tick that box as we do in other cases then

while we request them to unlink they will simply reject your request and will told you - SIR YOU HAVE AGREED OR TERMS & CONDITIONS WHICH INCLUDED 1 YEAR CONTRACT

isn't this surprised you ?????????

this is what happened with my network called REC Studios (Grace Network)

So I am trapped for 1 year in this network

so Be aware of any network's terms and conditions and do not believe their emails or conversations in any manner

this sentence tells me that they are a scam:

In addition to the exposure and resources we can provide you, we have a branded entertainment team that can pursue sponsorships on your behalf.

they are like saything you get free sponsorships without hard work. you know who also said that "Freedom Network", this MCN was born from freedom ceo and who even heard of TGN channel doing view support its nothing but "top 10" videos. right now TGN army channel is filled with nothing but DBZ gameplay which mean they are trying to aim at DBZ fans not everyone.

this network is not to be trusted.

well first as I stated "to be fully honest I have no real intention to join BroadBandTv" :p I've been planning on joining curse. And honestly I've tried SO SO SO SO many times to collab on YTTalk and I love the people here but when it comes to collabs I find people to be very unreliable even when we have a plan set and I don't mean that I tried it once and it failed, I've tried a good 8-9 times and didn't find a successful collab yet.

Oh ok sorry, yeah that's fair enough anyway. At the end of the day it's up to you as to whether you want to join an MCN or not :).

BBTV is going to take a cut of your revenue and provide nothing in return. The VISO Catalyst is, like someone has already said, youtube analytics with nicer graphics. The collaboration tools are an absolute joke; anyone you might find willing to collaborate, you do not want to collaborate with (that's IF you find anyone). Successful channels aren't clamoring on the viso catalyst for some amateur to piggy back, you're going to be wasting your time. They took 40% from me, when I declined to renew, they offered 30%. I said I'd give 5% for the less hassle I got with YT copyright review crap, but that was all they did for me. Oh, they did string me along about how my one series was going to have something, "I can't say right now, but it could be huge." Wouldn't give me so much as a hint, I should've known.

Never heard back after my 5% offer. Btw, that 30% offer was in response to a very long, disappointed feedback email I wrote, which was obviously never read.
