HEY LOOK! a distraction!
to be fully honest I have no real intention to join BroadBandTv because of the constant gripping I hear from the people that are locked in with them but I was recently messaged by a recruiter and I would like to see if anyone has had enough experience with them to confirm or deny some of the things he told me.(heres the messages he sent me)
and that's the newest message so far so in all honesty i'm just curious if anyone can pull any truth from this or give any insight into this network? and if you've made it this far then thank you for reading
so I gave him a ballpark of what i'm looking for (no lock in contract, Dashboard/Tools,a good support team, decent cpm, sales team, and exposure. "Just to see what his answer would be""Hi there, I'm **** and I facilitate new opportunities for YouTube channels of all sizes at BroadbandTV. With our recent investment of $36M investment from RTL Group, we have built infrastructures to help creators like you to enhance their growth, quality, and revenue online. I'd like to share some options with you to see if it fits your needs."
So he gave me the generic gimmick add-ons except for a few that I don't think he has access to such as the army hub, so I asked him what the rev split was which just blew my mind when I saw it."Well based on your needs this sounds like a perfect fit. We can offer you a no lock in contract with access to our technology platform called VISO Catalyst. You can increase your visibility on your videos with our updated and relevant keywords and also connect with other creators in our network. In addition you can have access to 25,000 royalty tracks in all genres. We have a 24/7 support team and we have a direct connection to Google. Our CPM is standard across all networks but with our 4 ad sales teams, we can negotiate higher paying CPMs at times when certain campaigns are live. Our TGN Army Hub channel can feature your content and help you gain exposure through social media rts and hashtags."
so that completely floored me and I called him out on it and got this from him as he kept trying to get my email to set up an agreement."Based on how our tier works, I would have to give you 60%. However, since I believe in you and your channel and the fact that you are very consistent, I'm willing to push my boundaries and give you 70% of the maximized profits. How does that sound to you?"
"To contrary belief, CPM is not controlled by networks. It is all based on your keywords and how much advertisers are willing to spend on them. When networks tell you they have a cpm of 5-20 or 10-30, they are misinforming you. In addition to the exposure and resources we can provide you, we have a branded entertainment team that can pursue sponsorships on your behalf. BroadbandTV is a corporation with an office located downtown with around 130 people. There's only a handful of networks that have this structure because we can actually provide you with what we are telling you. Some networks will give you 90% but won't do anything for you. If you want value with what you are sharing, we can help."
