Hi! I need to know if I should invest in this upgrade I would like to build link here - http:// pcpartpicker.com/p/35VkB or stick to my current laptop which is what I do everything on!
Here's the exact name of the laptop and some specs:
Acer Aspire 5535-5452
AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual-core processor QL-64
ATI Raedon HD 3200
3GB DDR2
320GB HDD
Also is this a good build? I wish it were $300 but, if I have to go $400 I guess I'll take the hit.

Definitely, your current laptop sounds horrible!

Hi there, this goes in the Video Editing, Recording, Software & Hardware section of the forum...I have moved it there for you :)

You will need to get a GPU if you plan to game or video edit etc. And if you plan to make it more future proof I suggest you change the motherboard to a ATX mobo. I can help you choose a good build for you if you want.[DOUBLEPOST=1394244740,1394244574][/DOUBLEPOST]And if you're building you're gonna need an OS too.

Video Card is built into the APU and I have a copy of windows 8 but, outside that your help is most needed.

I agree with BlazingHaze, I have Intel HD Graphics 3000, and it works good enough for what I do (mostly indie games, CS:GO, GTA) but if you want to play and record Arma or DayZ, then you will want a nice dedicated graphics card![DOUBLEPOST=1394396164,1394394194][/DOUBLEPOST]This build would be better for you http:// pcpartpicker.com/p/36XvI down the road, in a few months or maybe a year or so, you could always upgrade, you could buy a video card once you get more money saved up.

I took a hit but, as a hopefully future I.T. I went with the build as my first computer in hopes of it looking as good handsd on experience. I greatly thank you all so much for your advice!
