Are YouTube .Gif banners allowed now?

hi, I'm a professional graphic designers and I'm now getting word from some of my clients that they cant upload the .gif banners or motion banners that i made for them. i know the settings for uploading them so they arent wrong because i had them uploaded to my channel when i made them. now everytime i upload one i dont get an error message, it just says saving with the little clock thing and then that eventually goes away and the banner doesnt change.

Were gif banners just a beta test that youtube secretly release? because the gif banner i had uploaded is still working on my channel i just cant upload any new gif banners

I don't know. Maybe you should be partner to use gif banners or something like that. Or have monetization enabled.

You could email Google Support or look up a way to fix it if someone else had this problem.

It's now not working anymore. It says invalid file. I think it was a beta test.

I seriously thought I was going crazy the other day when I saw a .GIF Banner.. I clicked back and it didn't move.. now I am seeing a few of them move. Sahweet. Load time on them is gonna be a pain via Mobile though.
