Anyone use Corel VideoStudio Pro?

I'm currently eyeing VideoStudio Pro Ultimate X6 right now. My last computer decided to commit suicide and I lost my very good editing software. So I'm looking into this legal substitute. I know how to use professional editors, I just can't afford them. So far, this one seems to offer the most bang for my buck (and I can get it on Amazon right now for $40).

But I want to know if any of you have any experience with it first. What is your impression of it?

I have corel video studio pro x5, and I'm really liking it :D There are tons of features you would find in an expensive video editor on it. I figure x6 would be better than x5. I would definitely suggest it to you :)

Thanks NIP. Does your version include Boris Graffiti? I noticed that Boris has a lot of the more advanced features I'm seeking.

I'm also using video studio ultimate x6. It's good enough for me. I have enough effects for me to create reasonably good videos. I can make text overlays, videos on top of other videos, so it gets the job done most of the time . The only issue I have found is that it won't read the sound of my videos without me converting it to another format.

That doesn't sound too good. What format do the videos need to be in in order to get sound?

I have a canon 60d camera and it doesn't read the sound properly. I have to convert the sound to aac/mp3 to get it to work. There's a free utility that allows me to do this, but it is an extra step

Hm, I've had similar problems before with other programs. It's a pain. I'm going to go ahead and download the trail version. I'll post my thoughts after I play around with it a bit.[DOUBLEPOST=1388708135,1388683370][/DOUBLEPOST]After playing with it for about 10 or 15 minutes I can tell that this is not the program for me. Even with 12GB of RAM and a fast processor and GPU, this program still managed too move too slowly. I also was not able to find any shortcuts to scrub frame-by-frame. I'm gonna have to keep looking, it seems.
