Anyone Have Advice For A Vlog/Comedy Channel?

I agree with everyone who said that being geniunely funny will help you stand out in a very crowded channel genre. The other thing that I really believe in is lighting. If you want to improve your look, jump onto Amazon and pick up some chicken coop lights. I know it sounds silly, but it's cheap, they clamp, and they'll radically change your look. Set one on your front right, one on your front left, and one overhead behind you to light your hair and shoulders. Your camera won't pixelate out so much and you'll look a ton cooler.

Agreed about all of this. Be passionate about what you're doing! Spend a little money upping your production value, and it will make a world of difference. If you watch my first video (down below on my channel), you can see some equipment, which I specifically bought for this channel, and it's already helped a ton.

I did search for chicken coop lights and I saw some pictures for round metal ones that have clamp. If that is what you're talking about I found the same ones at Walmart for $6. And as for your light placement, what you described is called 3-point lighting. You have key light in front, the fill light on the side, and the hair light on top. Just in case if you were wondering.

This is totally cheesy, but I've noticed that people really enjoy the vlogs where you can tell that the person making the video is having fun/enjoying themselves :)
