Any tips for making a scary video?

So around Halloween, I like to make a scary video of sorts. But I want to make it really good this year! So if any of you guys have suggestions, on ideas or tips to make a video scary that would be great! (BTW I use final cut pro x if that helps.) All of your tips are greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Take one of your old videos and then edit in some spooooooky effects:

Jk. Judging by your channel, I guess a scary prank could do well.
If you mean something which actually is a "scary video" for the viewer, you could either make a cheap-a** screamer or put tons of effort into make and present a story in some way.

Or make a "Paranormal Activity" style "recording" of some ghostly sightning using either actors or special effects edited.
