Any one use Reddit?

Hi all,

contemplating using reddit as ive seen a previous thread regarding it. Just enquiring if ny1 else used it and did it help there channel.
 
I've used Reddit for a few of my recent videos.

Personally, I haven't seen much of a boost. I mean, it may have gained me a couple of extra views, but nothing that was noticeable.

I suppose it all depends on the timing though, and the type of video (vlog, cover, etc.) so maybe you should try it.

After all, what have you got to lose? :D
 
Problem with reddit is - in the sub reddits labelled youtube gaming etc everyone is in the same boat, meaning they want to post vids and not watch videos.... Coupled with the fact you have dozens of the same minded people posting loads of content on the page within a short period of time your exposure is minimised.
 
If you haven't been using reddit before, and want to start using it just to post your videos, you're gonna have a bad time...
 
I used it for two of my videos, and they gained about 50-60 views each from it I'd say. My audience retention was on par for one, and the other was significantly higher than usual so it was pretty successful that way. In terms of subs, I think I gained one or two.

I thin I removed both of them from Reddit after a while though. I was afraid that my luck would run out and people would start trolling. :P
