any good 2d animation software using sprite ?

like fighting scene of death battle ?
they use what software ?
any other thought on making 2d animation ?
 
For sprite animations I use Macromedia Flash 8 although CS6 is supposed to be better I just really enjoy the layout and feel of 8.

I'm an old man.

Click on the video below me. I have an intro where I use sprites and the program Flash 8.

If you need help you can message me since this is one of the few things I actually have a good grasp on.

SOME THINGS TO NOTE

Animating even sprites can take quite a long time. Especially for the fights you see on death battle.
There is a lot more going on than just using an animating program.
They have special effects and music ques which I don't know if Flash CS6 has but Flash 8 is terrible at that sort of thing.
I sure hope they don't use that.

Not to mention you are going to need every sound to emphasize an action and picture so you can animate the images (the character, effects, etc).

Spriters Resource is a good place for your sprites. Make sure to see if they want credit for any original work.

For sound effects I usually just look on youtube same with music.

i thought flash only for web..
how many time to make 1 minute video using that macromedia ?
 
You're thinking of Macromedia Flash PLAYER.

It depends once again on how well you can get adjusted to the program.

I would guess it takes death battle about a month or so for the 3 minute animations but the person animating that is a professional.

I made a 2 minute long animation sort of close to that on newgrounds a few years back and that took me well over 3 months but i'm a nitpicker so.[DOUBLEPOST=1446290268,1446289842][/DOUBLEPOST]Wow also that animation is terrible lol.

Most sprite animations have been made with Flash but you can also make sprite animations with After Effects, Sony Vegas and even Windows Movie Maker if you make every frame with Paint(.net) but that would takes ages lol

My channel does not focus on animating.
I used to animate and gave you my advice.

AS can be used when making games and for other movie based functions. (Stopping a song etc)

I have a few videos with Flash animations but action script is meant for Flash games and Flash sites from 10 years ago lol
 
Flash is probably your best bet without a doubt. Smooth animation, easing, plenty of tools, etc. It is the same effort as those who use paint for placement but less effort in the long run since once you animate something you can simply pull it out of your library and boom it is done. Also don't judge a person's knowledge based off what they have to view in the public. Plenty of people are great chefs but don't have restaurants, books, or videos to prove it. Simply they know how to by first hand and when they need to do it they will.
