Any decent free recording software out there?

Hello there again. I've only just started my channel, but I'm looking to start doing tutorials. I need a free recording software. The reason I can't pay for a software (although, I wish I could) is, I don't put ads on my videos, I don't make any money on it, so investing money wouldn't give me anything back. I just want to do this to help other people rather than make money of it.

So, yeah, if there a decent free recording software? Thanks in advance!
 
Yeah, Camtasia Studio is pretty good. Honestly, if you want something good these days, you're going to have to pay for it...
 
FFsplit is what i use when my Frap's program won't record certain indie games its free and has multiple features such as the ability to use a webcam on the same screen (variable sizes) and variable screen sizes
 
I use Hypercam, it's easy to use and records pretty good. Check one of my latest two videos made at 1080p if you wanna se what it can do.​
 
Yeah Camtasias good, but if you're looking for totally free, no trials I'd suggest Microsoft Expression. It's not as good as Camtasia, but it works pretty well :)
 
FFSplit, it's not too advanced, but still its a pretty good compact software, altho it requires some messing around with it's settings to get it right for your needs.
