Alternatives to Photoshop?

Does anyone know of a (preferably free) alternative to photoshop to make good thumbnails and channel art?

Gimp <---- You want gimp!

But you can make pretty good stuff using MS paint and Powerpoint if you know what you're doing.

You could use Pixlr, it's basically Photoshop but it's free and has a slightly less amount of features. Plus it's a website and not a program, so you don't have to download anything! That's what I used before I got Photoshop and it worked like a charm

Gimp is the closest you'll get to Photoshop in terms of advanced features like layers.

I use Canva for my thumbnail and channel art. No need to download anything, it's all on their website.
