After researching on some videos regarding keywords...

LuiC

I sing and vlog stuff
I was looking at some videos, that may not gather lots of views, but around 1k-10k views.
When I looked at the page source/the code for the video, I looked at their keywords.
There's this one video that's doing well with over 10k views (she had 2k a few months back and now has 6k subscribers), and she put some long tags (the walking dead game tribute) and short tags (the, walking, dead, game, tribute).
I was searching for the video, and I swapped the keywords about, and her video was always either the first video or appears at the first page, meaning she's doing really well.
My video appears 2nd, which is good, but it just needs that little oomph.

Should I also add separated tags too, just to help?

Sure why not? :) Never hurts to try it!

Hmm... I shall. Thanks Kat! It surely helps.

EDIT: Thing is, did it work for you?
No problem! Hmmm I don't know. I don't remember separating the tags O_O. I usually just type it out as one, but then I WILL add one word..... like for my song, Helpless to Repair, I will also tag the word Helpless...etc.

How's your About section for the video? If it's sparse, that could factor into placement - as well as the interaction on the video itself. If her fans have shared it all over the web and added her song to playlists then Google/YouTube will think that her video should be #1

It might not just be tags.

It includes social links and some info on the video.
I emulated the style from the more established youtubers.

Whoa! I should definitely need to try this. I've been mainly using longer tags. Thanks for the tip :)
