African Doctor Who

I figured that one way to kinda put myself out there is to show my African (or more specifically Ghanaian) side. I got the idea to cosplay as the African version of the Eleventh Doctor from my dad. He has an African print bow tie that I absolutely love. Then I thought "Why not make it a YouTube series on my channel?" Since I'm starting out, I want to try different things and see what works.

I would play both the Doctor and the companion, it would be shot in my bedroom(because it's too cold to do anything outside) and they would both be girls since I don't have experience acting as a guy. It would have the same kind of premise as Doctor Who but it would have different villains based on Ghanaian folklore.

I'm still kinda fleshing out the details. Do you think this is a good idea or a train wreck waiting to happen?

Just to point out, I know very little about Doctor who. I also know very little of your acting skills, your equipment and the rest of your skills. To be honest, if you want to, do it! It sounds pretty funny, and kinda weird. In my opinion, just try to get a lot of special effects and try to go outside. With these types of things I would really hate if the background was always the same like your room. Another thing, just try to keep the name "Doctor who" away from it. Things like this, especially with hardcore fans (Personal experience with them) they will kinda hate the name Doctor who in something that is way to different. This is all my own advice and opinion.

Sounds like it could be amazing tbh, you'd have to incorporate being trapped in a room into the story in a clever way though but that's the beauty of doctor who, he /she really could get stuck in some kind of quasidimentional bedroom with a clone for a companion.

Go for it.

as a Whovian, DO IT DO IT DO IT! That would be so cool. And the fandom is is so big and an universe with so much changing, even the main character, different is normal
