I am looking into ways on how I can improve my youtube channels performance as I am struggling to get subs and views

I am not sure where to start though. i mainly do call of duty videos and im getting a new recording device for christmas to make it easier

Any help on how to improve will be appreciated

first of all, get a bunch of nice thumbnails. second, as you might know call of duty has a large community, a rather active on youtube community as well. people that might not want to subscribe to you because you are just one out of many. then you got the haters on COD, obviously you are not gonna draw any of those people to your channel. what you can do is make a catchy and funny/intresting thumbnail that marks your series. i am personally not a COD player but i am always in for a good troll no matter what game it is, at those moments i am always on the lookout for thumbnails with trollfaces or other memes. you could try to co-op with other youtubers or just a bunch of friends (the more people the more joy). you can also try to target more communities instead of COD only.
try to make unique content with all kinds of edits.

hope this helps. good luck

thank you! the only problem is I have no idea how to customize my thumbnails how do I do that?

start by purchasing some photoshop software or use free trials. i use a variation of software for my thumbnails. i use smoothdraw 3 to color drawings made by friends (since i cant draw). i use perfect photo suite 7 trial for masking and sometimes a bit of the normal photo editing. i use photoscape for the basic editing and adding text to the thumbnails. there is a masking software that in my opinion really stands out to the rest, which is instandmask pro 2.8. my trial has expired but i will definitly buy it at some point. it was so simple and very effective and was an exelent example that the computer is made to do things for you. in perfect photo suite 7 i have to mask everything manually which can be a huge pain with detailed picures. photoscape is definetly a requirement since it tells you exactly how big your file is once you try to save it, since thumbnails only go up to 2MB its nice to know when you have to turn the quallity down. i try to work as cheap as possible, using free trial and free software, such as photoscape and smoothdraw. i use the simple microsoft word for 3D letters, take a screenshot with alt+prtsc key and then paste into microsoft paint. thats how i make my thumbnails. i also have some friends who are exelent drawers and that are willing to help my from time to time.

shees i talk a lot :p
