Advice for my new wildlife/animal channel

Hi guys,

So I have started my animal/wildlife channel recently and I just had some general questions. I have already asked for some on this board and it was brilliant, so here I go again!

1. Are animal/wildlife videos something you would be interested in watching on Youtube?

2. Is there anything in particular you are looking for with this type of channel i.e topics, styles etc.?

3. If someone was to do a new Youtube nature series within a channel that was different and interesting would you follow it (hypothetically)?

Bonus question. What's you favourite animal?

Any advice or insight on any of the questions or just comments would be amazing. My background is wildlife conservation and environmental education, including bird banding & killer whale research! Thank you!

There are a lot of popular wildlife channels out there, so I think the way you want to approach this is up to you.
I know there is a kid from australia who goes out looking for wildlife on his channel.

Hi there! Welcome to YTtalk and its wonderful forums!

1. I'm a big animal lover - in fact, I wanted to be a zoologist for 9 years of my life - and I'm still passionate about them even today. So, watching wildlife videos would definitely be something I see myself doing!

2. I like learning facts about different animals - but I'm an educational channel, so maybe that's just the nerd in me! It's always cool to educate people on what amazing creatures they need to protect.

3. Absolutely. Provided it was something I enjoyed, I can always support something that goes against the norm of a genre in a positive way.

BONUS: My favourite animal is the cat, but I've always adored tamarins and marmosets.
