Advice about views

Hi there,

Went on YouTube a month ago and realised a video I uploaded in 2013 has all of a sudden received 500,000 views! Great, I thought, so I have been uploading more. Trouble is, despite the likes and nice comments, very few people are clicking to my other videos. Does anyone have any advice on how I can direct people to my other vids? Thanks dudes!

The easiest way would be to use the cards and endscreen templates. After you upload your video, go to edit (through the creator studio) and there will be tabs for it.

Also, just because you had one video which got a lot of views, don't expect it to happen to every video you upload ;) Some just go viral, others don't.

Thanks, yes I’m prepared for my videos to get less views in all fairness.

Am I right in saying that the cards and end screen templates don’t work on mobile platforms? Most of my views are from mobiles.

Moved to the strategy / technique forum. :)
(The YTtalk support/suggestions forum is specifically for YTtalk forum support, not YouTube support. )

Is your content similar to the viral video? and how long has the viral video been uploaded for? I know a few people on this board who have one "Hit" video and have been struggling to bring there other videos up level. as mentioned above end screens can help build continuity and send audiences to different and new content but ultimately its very difficult to harness the power of a one shot viral video...most people who click on it are there for the "Wow" factor more than anything else...good luck though i hope it all goes well for you :)

I think they were designed to work on mobile platform, since the annotations didn't work which annoyed a lot of people. I'm not sure about this, but you can check it very easily by trying to click one :P

Nah, the iCards and the end screen templates work perfectly fine on mobile devices. A large portion of YouTube's views come from mobiles so it'd be stupid for them not to capitalise on that in some way.
