Adsense $ vs Youtube $ different?

Super Poster
I was reading about all the FAQ about Youtube today and I checked my adSense account cuz of that. However, I see that my total earning on Youtube and Adsense are totally different! The Adsense finalized pmt didn't reflect anything since I started the account. Why is that?

Thanks!

Well Adsense is the way in which you monetize your YouTube account - you can't get paid by Youtube (Google) without having your monetized views attributed to you by Google (via Adsense).

From what I understand - the thing you see on Youtube is your gross earnings, before Google takes their cut. And even then it's still just an estimate, whereas the Adsense is your actual performance, your actual money, and what you actually get to take home.

well i have to disagreed with some of your facts here, the earnings that you saw on youtube analytic is already after the Google revenue share cut.

Okay. :) But they are still an estimate correct?
most of the time, the "estimated earnings" in the analytic is actually the exact revenue we gonna get, in very minor situation that the earnings shown in analytic report are far different from what we will get in adsense.

Hi both,

I just found out the answer myself. Adsense stopped updating the $ you make from Youtube. They only give you the finalized earning at the cut off day. The reason why mine was different cuz it's NOT the cut off day for April yet.

Thanks!!! :D

The Analytics on YouTube estimated earnings are usually very close to what I end up being paid.

If I go to the AdSense page and look at 'Hosted AdSense for Content,' it's higher than what I'll end up with, but I have found that if I multiply that number by .83 it will be fairly close to what the actual payment will be.

I have yet to find the reason for the disparity, so I simply accept the 17% drop in exchange for being able to see the numbers in almost real-time.

In real time, you mean NO 2 days delay???
