Adsense/monetization question

Hi,

I'm a bit of a beginner when it comes to adsense etc..

For example, if your video got 20,000 views and you hadn't linked your adsense account to your youtube and then decided to, would you get the money from the views you have got?

Also: I have just linked my adsense account to my youtube channel which as 1,500 views so far. Will I still get revenue (even though its miniscule) from that because nothing is showing up yet, does it take a few days to display data for the revenue you have earned?

As far as I know, you won't get any revenue from previous views for one simple reason: no ads were shown before you monetized your account.

It does take a few days for your AdSense account to be verified and from there, for your statistics to start tracking. Normal YouTube analytics are always a few days behind, anyway.

Once you know it's working, forget about it for now. You'll get cents, if you're lucky.

Okay, I always thought the yellow mark on the video timeline means that there is an ad on the video and that's been on all of my videos. I have been monetising all of the videos just without the adsense but thank you for quick reply.

You are paid once a month by youtube on adsense.

Normally yes, don't get your hopes up for some big income though Adsense will also only pay out once you earned $100 or €70, dependent on where you live.
