Adobe Premiere - Collapse Clips?

EDIT:
Found a little work-around trick: vimeo DOT com/27428526

Hey ya'll ^^

When I edit videos in Premiere, I like to run through the whole thing first and chop out the bits on the way through that I won't need. By the time I'm done, I have dozens of gaps between clips that I have to manually drag together. It's rather time consuming and a pain. I was wondering if there was some shortcut to collapse all the clips I'm keeping together?

Thank you! x3

Right click the spaces in between all the clips. Press ripple delete.

You're welcome.
That's really cool and thanks for the tip, though I still have loads of spaces and it's still a 'one at a time' thing. Is there a way to select all the spaces at once?

Nope, but at least it's faster than individually dragging each clip into it's proper location. At least, if there is a method, I'm not aware of it yet.

Very true, it does save a little time. :) I'll keep Googlin' around. I appreciate the help! <3[DOUBLEPOST=1428772713,1428772315][/DOUBLEPOST]@Super Pawsitive Okay, knowing the terms "ripple delete" really helped in finding a solution. (So thank you again for that, haha.) It's not a "one click" but it's still loads faster, there is a trick to doing it and I figured I'd share:

I just tried it out and it worked @_@

That honestly looks more convoluted than just doing it normally x3

Well, when you're like me and you have tons and tons of gaps, one minute of doing this vs 5+ minutes of dragging clips is a big difference xD

Whatever works best for you though, figured I'd share just in case ;)
Yeah, but if you're like me and you're very particular about your editing. Typically I recommend doing everything yourself. I make video game reviews more complicated than they should be. Sue me :P

I'm only picky about what to cut out/leave in. Aside from that, it's not that big of deal for me. My editing skills are very noobish so I like to keep things simple, haha. I can totally understand what you mean though :)

Yeh, I see that. Watching one of your videos now. Very simplistic :P
