Additional Hardware

Hey there,

I was wondering if any audio snobs here are using any additional hardware (besides a mic and a pop filter) for pitch perfect sound? Something like MobilePre from m-Audio (google it, because I can't post links yet, sorry). Or anything similar, that increases the quality of your microphone.

If yes, do you people know how this works? I mean, is this useful first of all? And if so, what benefit does this kind of hardware bring - I mean, what exactly in sound is being improved?

Thanks for any information!

All that does is take a mic xlr input and convert it to a usb, and doesnt do much else besides that. The quality comes from your mic and how you edit the audio in post. EQ, Compression, Reverb, Etc gives you pitch perfect sound. Judging by the quality of your voice in your videos your pretty much set! :)

Thanks for the reply. You say "pretty much set", does that mean you know where else can I go to improve? If so, please share - I'd appreciate that man.

If you have an audio editing program you can EQ, Compress, and add a sittle amount of reverb to your voice. It would give it a studio sound!

Wow, can you elaborate a little on this bit? I'm very intrigued right now, as I was looking for the ways to improve the sound quality. Thanks man![DOUBLEPOST=1346195146,1346166181][/DOUBLEPOST]Or maybe anyone else knows how to get that reverb sound for studio quality effect?..

I think your audio sounds pretty good. I'm not sure what kind of microphone you have, or if you have a pop filter. If you do have a good microphone and a pop filter, I'd recommend turning down your microphone and talking more directly into it for a more clean sound - the way it is right now you can kind of hear the sound bouncing around in the room you're recording in.

You can EQ your audio if you record your voice separately in something like Audacity or FL Studio. I don't know a whole lot about how to EQ correctly or anything, but I say just go through the available presets, preview them, and use it if you like the sound.
