active channels search filter

Does YouTube allow you to search for channels or videos based on whether or not they come from a channels that is currently active?

I was just searching about and was on a channel that looked pretty good but then I noticed that nothing had been made in like 10 months, I just think it might be a bit of a boon to those who are active if searchers could filter out old and forgotten channels... If you think about it it might become more neccesary if YouTube keeps getting bigger and bigger, and older and older.

You can maybe try this...after you type something in.........go to 'Filters'. There's a few options there: I've typed in COD Advanced Warfare hehe...and here's a screenshot of the options

So basically you can filter by 'Today' and it will show you what was uploaded today....or 'last hour' and it will show you everything uploaded in the past hour....or....by 'View Count'....which will give you the highest views etc

I think that filtering by channel activity would be a really useful feature. And would, like you say, benefit people who have active channels.

That feature could help many small youtubers. By eliminating inactive channels in the search engine, your video is more likely to come up Especially since many people quit youtube after a few weeks or months...
