about video editing and small icon imiges

I Love YTtalk
So this is the ideea basecly ... I want to try my hand in some montages with game play or just vlogs and I want to put random icon images and noises in the video but I have a problem I have no ideea how that editing is called or where to start looking for images or sounds that I can use in a monetized video ... can some one help me pls ?

yeah but I am reffering like little icons of faces or objects ... sorry I have no ideea how to explain myself but like little random icons of objects like a smiley face or a cartoon car or ... a poop pile lol ya know ?[DOUBLEPOST=1391607454,1391565904][/DOUBLEPOST]

btw I can not edit the footage from my camera in camtasia ... it does not recognize it ... and any ideeas about the images or icons or anything ?
