A typical girls video. Get ready with me.

Hi everyone! I've been posting videos in YouTube for less than 2 months.
This is my newest video, a typical girls video about getting ready, putting makeup on etc. With a cuteness overload at the end of the vid. ^_^

I am still filming the videos with my iPad. Yep, iPad. At the beginning I wasn't 100% sure how serious this will be so I didn't want to buy an expensive camera. But now with every video I am getting more and more comfortable and confident. Could it be the right time to make an investment?
So I just wanted to hear some feedback. Content/Video Quality/ Editing? Any suggestions?
Thank you for your time! :)

I actually think you did a pretty good job with what the video was intended for. Very well done with the make up.

On a professional level depending on how far you want to go with your channel there are two, or three things you could really do just to give your videos a little level of polish.

The first is to maybe put a white sheet on the wall behind you to hide the grey and that massive disttracting black line going down the middle. Next it might be best to do some standard, or white light transitions between stages instead of jump cuts. These is more presentation based though, so I guess it comes down to personal style more than anything.

At the end where it says thank you for watching I think maybe have a transition to a credit scene might be good. A credit scene basically has your message saying 'Thanks For Watching!' but you can also add other things like a subscribe button, and video annotations to other tutorials for viewers who are interested in seeing your other stuff.

This will increase overall potential view counts on other videos on the channel aswell. Again how you go about that one is based around style. Check other channels videos and see how they layed out their own end credit screen and see what might suit your tastes.

Good luck!

Thank you so much for such a detailed feedback, I appreciate it!
Already added video annotations to my other videos at the end of my latest video, that is a great idea!
What comes to the transitions between cuts, I only have three options in my Corel VideoStudio X6, and I am not really into any of them, so I decided to just leave the jump-cuts until I find a more convenient video editor.
Thank you again for the feedback, means really a lot to me that you spent your time on this! Take care,
^_^

I actually use Corel X6 as my go to editor and personally think there are some pretty good transition effects that come with it. The thing is to do it stylishly and not just a simple transition :)

one easy change you can make is changing your channel layout. right now all of your videos and likes are in the same place so its a little confusing and people might click on your likes instead of going through your videos. If youre thinking about cameras, you could try to find a cheap DSLR. The cheap ones are like 300 dollars, which is a lot still. And the audio isn't great on DSLRs, so you might want to buy a shotgun mic (mine only cost like $40 on amazon) I know thats a lot of money, but the good thing about those are theyre regular cameras with good video quality so you can still use it when you're not making videos. ooh and make sure it has its own batteries! the ones that run on like AA or something are truly awful.

I hope that helped!

Then you put the text overlay on the screen describing
what products you are using, it seems to me that you
could leave it on the screen for a couple seconds longer.
In my opinion, it's too short. In this situation, it isn't
covering up anything important and it's not like it is
distracting from important info.

In terms of whether you should buy a new camera, I think your iPad is good for now. However, if you are going to buy a camera, buy it just because you want it in your overall life, not only because of youtube. Since you are a new channel, you could easily change your mind and decide you don't like making youtube videos anymore. I bought my camera before I even knew I wanted to make videos, and so it's definitely not a wasted investment if I stop making youtube videos.
