A part of this video game has music that is copyrighted and matched third party content.

I've Got It
The game is called Hotline Miami, and on a certain stage of the game there is "copyrighted" music that the game uses. I disputed the third-party claim, arguing that since it's a part of the game I am reviewing, it is subject to review as well. Is this correct?

I'm pretty sure it is.
The game distributors bought the license, and you review the game and game's copyrights belong to them.
At least that's what i think.

Didn't you know that recording a videogame with its background music is ILLLEGAAAL!? (This might come up for a good sketch)

I wonder how it will end. And it's also why I use custom-made music (or royalty-free stuff) as background for my videos.

It would be a funny reference but only if it becomes a big deal, which I doubt it will. My little brother makes youtube poops with Spongebob crap and disputes claims all the time without issue.
