A little advice?

AYRENvids

I need to stop caring too much.
Hey there.
I was just wondering if I'm doing something wrong. I want to get the video of my dog (yup, the one down there) going, because it could very well be one of my best shots at the moment.
I know that viewers really like pet videos, too. But I'm thinking I'm perhaps doing something wrong, because this video's not getting many views :unsure2:
I know tags are really important, but I don't really know what else to put, these are the tags this video has right now: dogs puppies "cute pets" "dog barking" "my dog" "funny dog".
Are these tags just too competitive? And if they are, could you suggest some other keywords to use for this video?
I would really appreciate if you could leave suggestions on how to get this video more popular

honestly other than waiting for views, they probably arent going to come fast. You also only have 8 subscribers, so its actually pretty amazing that you have as many views as you do on that. With time will come fans, and also views will go into that video which will bring fans who will watch that video which will get you more fans and etc etc etc. I know for me (unrelated video) i have a video that was literally 3 seconds long and it was me saying "YEAH :D" and doing a thumbs up, and after a year, i have 738 views on it, and the number keeps going higher. So patience is key when it comes to something like that :)

Oh well, yes I know I should be patient, but it's hard when you're taking part in a challenge where every view matters and your biggest opponent has like 80,000 views, and then you take a look at your own channel and realize you're nothing compared to them and therefore have little to no chance to win the challenge. That's why I'm so eager to get views right now.

hmm...thats one reason ive never been a big fan of challenges....but thats a rant for a later time XD

the only real way to get more views is to ask your friends to watch, and maybe posting it in more places...but its hard to do that without looking like spam ive found :/

This leads me to a question - what exactly does "buying views" mean? One of this challenge's rules is that you must not buy views or advertise your channel, so I haven't really told my friends to share and watch my videos, because I thought that would mean I'm forcing someone into promoting me and therefore breaking the rules...

there are actually services on the internet that you pay for a certain number of views. These views are not real views, they are only proxies being used to boost your view count, and they are obviously fake because there will be no actual feedback on the video. Plus the proxies are traceable and if needed can be traced to the source which will disqualify you. If you cant promote your video in any way, then your probably cant tell your friends to watch it either, but you might want to double check with the host of the competition so that you can be sure :)

What do you think - I told one of the people I know in real that I'm in this challenge and they offered that they could share my videos on a few sites where they know quite a lot of people - would it be cheating if I allowed that person to do so? The way I think of it is it's just as good as if a random person decided to share my videos, that wouldn't be cheating.

if they are the ones sharing it and not you, then that would be perfectly legal in the contest :)
