A Few Tips For The Gamers

Hey there, now before I start I would like to say I am not a gamer, I have had years if experience with gaming channels and have noticed a problem most of these channels have which lead to not many views. Now this problem is originality. I am now presenting my little rant on gaming channels, please leave if you don't like rants.

The 'typical' gaming channel will usually say something like 'we have all our videos HD' or 'daily uploads'. Now, if i'm honest I've seen thousands of gaming channels who say this sort of thing, most didn't get much views, and that's because there is no originality, everyone says these things, the majority of gaming channels are all HD now so nobody is probably going to care if it is HD, chances are, it will be HD anyway! Also related with originality alot, and I mean A LOT of gamers will start off with "hey what's up guys" this phrase has been said by over 1,000 people, make your own catch phrase, say something that represents your channel like "hello gameroos" or something like that, it just needs to be different! As for commentary just try to keep it interesting, either talk about a subject or talk about the game as in you would react like WAYY if you got 10 kills in a row, if you get what i'm saying??

Overall to sum up, do something different, be a leader, not a follower!

I use the "upload something everyday" to push folks to consider subscribing at the end of the video. I must admit I have fallen into the habit of starting off with a "Welcome everybody, I am Raetac and this is [insert game name here]" with a decent amount of emphasis, generally warms me up for the episode.

If I dont get that Intro out right first time, I restart the recording all over again. Its my mantra and the Outro speech is the same though its not so import to get right, I just edit the crap out of that with no remorse.

detaile's like upload every day is a good thing to add for additional information, but just in my opinion it wouldn't be the main thing to send out, with you having an intro is good, it's not a copy of anything someone said

Hey man, Youtube is about personalities. If I say: What's up guys? Then what's wrong with it? Why should I force myself into changing?

nothing's wrong with it, nobody is forcing anyone to change, i'm just trying to make a point that loads of people are doing the same thing, and there might be a higher chance of subscribers if people did something different that hasn't already been done, that way it's more entertaining and you don't know what to expect, this is only my opinion you seem to have a different point of view of this, but as a member of the audience of a gaming channel this is how I see it

I understand, but you are missing the point :) People watch a guy because they like his personality, he shouldn't change his to get a bigger audience.

personalities are supposed to be different though, and if that is the case why is everyone saying the same thing? I get what you mean but if everyone says a certain thing it's more of a known phrase than relateable to someones personality

I agree with you. Most of the people especially gamers say Whats Up Guys and something like that. They need to be little different.

yeah its getting harder and harder for gaming channels cause youtube is just flooded with them now many with no originality

I actually agree with Brodielawrence :D I have to admitt it happens a lot ;) You can upload daily if yu like but if there is no originality or fun stuff in the vid that keeps your attention, then yu will get less to no views :'( Just make a test recording of a commentary and focus on how you begin. How yu start is important :D If yu start good , yu will end good ^_^ (Personal experience and research)
