A few questions i'm answering for myself.

So, Tim said branding, right? and answer, why should people subscribe? Well, with me, I think people should subscribe because, well, I offer what some YouTubers don't. I don't just game, I enjoy a good vlog, maybe a few "shows" here are there.


What makes your viewers want to subscribe?

I personally do not have any confidence and I am trying to get some but, I can never see my channel at 1,000, I can imagine myself with 10-20 views per video MAYBE but...

Another thing, thumbnails, I have been trying to make thumbnails, I have a little browser app for it, Hey it works, doesn't it? And I make funny little thumbnails, but people still say "they're not good" or "improve" makes me think i'm not really the artist...

You could use a free program like gimp or inkscape to make the thumbnails ^_^ They are almost as good as adobe photoshop and illustrator.

You might be surprised lol. I think they are light weight from what I remember. Doing something small and simple like thumbnails might not be that bad on your laptop. It's worth a google at least to see of the specs are low enough but I can understand the wanting to wait. I was the same way when I was waiting on building my desktop.

People are going to be nit picky with the likes of like you said "funny looking thumbnails" but just ignore them, if you can provide good quality content then hell yeah, yes the thumbnail does play a role in getting some more viewers but if the quality of the content is good then the thumbnail wont matter. Take LeafyIsHere for example. Check out his thumbnails and tell me if they look "Super Clear, HD 1080p 60FPS Titan X x20 SLI)
