A break between videos?

With the videos I do I have to take a break of a couple of days in between making them. When I first started doing videos on this channel I tried going directly from making one video and completing it and jumping straight to writing the next script - And I couldn't do it.

The video going up next Tuesday was completed two or three days ago and is already uploaded, I'm currently starting on the script for the next video.

I sometimes get a little scared that I won't be able to complete the next video on time, even though I have a good 2 and a half weeks before it's even due up.

lol yeah I've never made any promises on my channel regarding a schedule. I do this as a hobby and in the little spare time I have, so I can't guarantee a video X times a month. I do videos along a similar theme to yours, and I find the script to be the hardest part. It's just having the time and state-of-mind to write it up. And if you don't get it right, you end up doing a bunch of re-recordings trying to fix it. One time I had to dump an entire script I recorded and just start again, the tone was all wrong haha
I was putting up videos every 2-3 weeks, but I've had a break for a couple months just because of real life commitments and it can get draining always trying to pump videos out.

I noticed you said you've already uploaded your video. I was advised not to do this. With the feed that your subscribers get on their homepage, it shows up in date order. So if you upload a video privately but don't make it public for 3 days, it will appear to your subscribers 3 days down the list of updates. So they may not see it at all.
Though YouTube are always making changes, so if this behaviour has changed please let me know. It would be easier if I could just upload the video early and make it public at the right time. Right now I only leave my videos as private for a few hours max, just as long as I have enough time to check it and make sure it uploaded ok.

I put up once a week. I write the scripts mostly on the weekends, or bit by bit when things come to me over the week. If an idea for a future video comes to me I'll write it down, I keep all of them in the Evernote app on my phone. I literally write out everything I want to say.

I do LPs so they are easy and don't take much work I try to get one up a day sometimes I miss a few days depends on how busy my job is/family etc

I aim for one video per week, but if I'm having a busy or stressful week, I don't hold myself to that. YouTube should be fun! If you're feeling stressed and like it's taking too much of your time, it might be a good idea to cut back and not pressure yourself as much. Your content will probably be better if you do it as you come up with things rather than forcing a video every couple of days. :)
