99% of my videos on youtube have been demontetized

Anyways having this problem?My content is 90% news and entertainment and interesting thing is NONE of my content ever covers politics,mainly local news like crime,celebrity.Obviously its always being in the guideline however since they want everyone to make disney content,then shouldnt no ads be shown on cnn?abc?music videos(eminem example).So im sure we shouldnt be seeing 90% of ads on youtube cause most videos arent disney or advertise friendly.And most of my income is mostly on youtube(i know only real job is mcdonalds or flipping burgers).This is ridicilous whats going on youtube
 
I'm guessing that based on this post in a recent thread, you perhaps upload copyrighted content that doesn't belong to you thinking that it's "fair use" ? Do you confirm?

Sigh,first of all when copy right content is uploaded two things can happen

1.)copyright take down(by owner)
or
2.)copyright content id can block the video or let the owner place ads on it(depending if the owner had content id)

This is about youtube demontizing videos,which has happen to 80% of youtube channels its an automated system.

I have one video out of 229 uploads demonetized and it had to do with a music license that expired. I don't know where you're getting that 80% number from. I don't even have a single one that is ad limited, and the majority of my audience is over 18 so it's not impossible to create content for adults without being demonetized.

Obviously there is content that gets demonetized but usually it's for specific reasons and since we can't see your channel we can't help you figure out what that reason is.

You do bring up an interesting point though about why TV news channels can cover so many controversial things and still get plenty of ads. However they probably have more direct communication with the advertisers than YouTubers do. From the research I've done about this, the answer that I've found is that even with controversial topics running on news networks the brands doing the advertising have a much, much, clearer idea of what will be broadcast on that network than a bunch of individual YouTubers who don't have a reputation on the line to the same extent. The TV network can tell the brand that they will only broadcast brand-safe stuff and they are much more likely to believe them than a YouTuber with 400 subs who could just upload any random thing. Networks such as ABC like you mention, have industry experience that they can use as a selling point to concerned advertisers(in addition to personal connections probably). They have more on the line because they have to pay their employees, lots of YouTubers have nothing to lose by uploading whatever they want and advertisers probably know this and don't feel like they can trust them to handle controversial stuff.

It may also be that some things are getting blanketed that could be run on TV news just because it's hard to screen the context of one video vs the next and hopefully that's something that YouTube can improve upon in the future if it's happening that way.

I know you said "usually", but YouTube tends to demonetize for no apparent reason, and this happens frequently. Right now there is a current problem in the system, like the OP said, a lot of people are having issues with this (I wouldn't say 80% though). A lot of big youtubers have made videos showing 2-300 of their videos being demonetized.
On reddit, and other forums, they've shown how just a video uploading the letter A got "not suitable" and demonetized. I believe Youtube is just testing things out, and will fix the issue soon (this is me being optimistic), cause this is to big of a eff up.
 
Over 110 videos have been hit with the yellow $ icon. One of them was most recent and I'm like... seriously. I've appealed to them and I know they won't get a look but I have to try and tell YouTube that this is wrong.

Also, most of the old ones are demonetized. No violence or anything that might explain it, but I did notice that every video mentioning Trump is demonetized ASAP, I'm talking while it's processing.
 
one of my videos had this issue i asked for a review even though i knew I wouldn't reach the 1k views but no harm in trying in case i did get there, i knew it was fine for advertisers anyway today i looked and its back to being monetised so i do think some of it is a bug, it happened to my latest one too but i can understand why it happened to that one, i am going to try and review it as well but i get it if they wont bring this one back
