Hey guys,
I have a youtube channel where I upload videos from my favourite politicians and the videos has usually duration 3-5 mins! They are like the best parts from talks from my favourite politicians...lets say mainly from 1-2 politicians, these I do now! Initially I thought that I cannot monetize the videos because I dont own the content! Then I thought maybe I can ask from the politicians to give me permission to use them commercially and monetize them! Now I have 50.000 views, from alll my videos together...and I came to find out what is the answer to my question, if I can monetize them or not..and also if i have lost the money from the un-monetized views!

Please also tell if something is possible for my case or what you suggest!
Thanks

The politicians don't own the footage and therefore can't give you permission to use it.

You would have to go to the original network that aired the footage for that.

As for lost money, 50k views might have earned you $20, but, again, you don't have the right to post, let alone monetize them anyway.

So the politicians that talk to a small radio station, the station holds the permission?
and the 50k is only 20 dollars? In a quick search in google you find that 1000 views is 1 dollar...

Yes, exactly. Whoever records and broadcasts it, owns the rights to it...not the politician.

That number may have been accurate a year or so ago, but rates have dropped since then.

Not to mention, lower viewed videos typically earn less than the average. In my experience, revenue doesn't begin to really increase until a video reaches 100k or so views.

So, do you suggest something about my case, I mean in terms If I can make some money for my views with any way?
I will keep doing this what im doing regardless...

If you're going to keep doing what your doing regardless, why bother asking for suggestions?

Just don't be surprised when your videos are 3rd party claimed or YouTube pulls your videos/ channel.
