Hey everyone!

So a few days ago i posted a topic with a question if the camera i chose was good, but it wasn't. :p
I did search for some other camera's, so i found two camera's, and i want to ask if they are good to film with and if it is which one is the best.

1. Canon PowerShot SX170
I don't know if this has the same name everywhere in the world, but here it has this name. Maybe in the USA it has a different name, because i live in Europe.

2. Canon PowerShot SX500
This is the same as above, of this one i also don't know if it has the same name.

Thanks :)

So what was the camera that you found to not be good? Did people say it wasnt or you got it and it wasn't? I am always interested in new cameras too

I can't speak for those particular cameras but I have Canon PowerShot SX150 IS. It is pretty good, shoots in 720p and I use it both for my videos and photography. You can check out any of my recent videos for the quality of it. It's certainly not the best camera and I'm waiting for a chance to get a better one like Canon EOS 600D or even 7D.
I'm not sure whether the ones you mentioned are a lot different from SX150 but I hope this helps a little.

I love my GoPro Hero 3 Black, I've splashed paint on it, hit it with darts, hit it with a big rock, fell down trails mountain biking, took it in the ocean, etc. and it still lives on! Plus it takes awesome pics and video and you can mount it to anything. The high speed capture is also great for slow motion....

The Canon PowerShot N, it's a small one. :)

Did you make your video's on your channel with it? The picture does look pretty nice! It has a great quality.

I made some of my latest videos with it, my most recent one was shot in 1440p. I think I made it too bright when I edited the video though... I normally annotate what camera I used and what settings I used lately in my descriptions. The GoPro will probably not appeal to everyone since it doesn't have a viewfinder and the menus are kinda weird, but I love it! As I said, I've been rough on it and it still works great! I don't think many people have video of a giant rock or darts hitting their cameras, lol!

The camera looks really nice! I've found the GoPro Hero 3 Silver, and that one does look pretty nice. I will probably buy that one. But i looked at your video, and it wasn't filling up the whole screen. Or is that because you used 1440p? And is there a way to see what you are actually recording, because you said it hasn't a viewfinder..

Certain resolutions do the square recording, I forget what ones exactly. On my Christmas tree timelapse I zoomed way in and it still looks pretty clear because of the high original resolution... They have an attachment that has a viewfinder, the phone app also allows you to see what the camera sees (there's a tiny lag though). All in all, I love my GoPro! If you are getting the silver, you might as well upgrade to the black, it has higher resolutions and higher frame rates.

Thanks! I think i've found the camera i want! :)
And i like how the phone app allows you to see what the camera sees.
I want to thank you very much!

I think I will gather up some stuff to blow up and get it in slow motion with my GoPro... Stuff exploding is always fun
