$2,000 a month from ad revenue? this doesn't add up

i randomly got suggested a video from a creator called Adelle Ramcharan. her whole channel seems to be about them youtube monies

but having a look, it just doesn't add up

she has 64k subs, and in the last month she got 104k views.

In her latest videos her adsense payment was over 2,100 canadian dollars (roughtly USD1,550 or £1,150) and as she points out in the video.

as a comparison, last 28 days i have had 91k views and earn't USD79.03

i know the CPM of everyones channel is different, based on a ton of factors including demographics and all that fun stuff. but that is just impossible?

her best month ever was 650k views (she has only gone over 350k views twice) , if i had that many views in a month i'd still only earn around USD550

i watched a couple of her videos and they are bizarre to say the least, she manages to talk for ages without actually giving the viewer any information

it feels like such a scam channel, she has a "bestselling book" about making money on youtube

her latest video called "how i make over $2000 a month on youtube ads" and her BIG tip. make interesting content! OMG its a revelation!

here is her channel, i'd love to know your thoughts

i just found it interesting.

Yeah I've seen her videos. Most of her videos just say the same thing, and, like you said, she doesn't really give a lot of information. You would need around one million views per month in order to get $2,000 per month!

Hmmm... Well I had 75k views and made just over 6 USD. :p I don't monetize most of my videos, but I think the "swing" of how much money a person makes can be really big.

2k seems a bit steep. She might be supplementing things with paid product placements or something, or maybe she's including revenue from her books and stuff.

nope, she specifically says its just for ad revenue, and says thats the smallest part of her channel. she earns more than that from amazon affiliate links on her YT and sales of her best selling book lol

I didn't check her channel but the last time I went in search of videos to learn some of the nuts and bolts behind a Youtube channel I found many of them don't offer much in the way of real advice and tend to bury their message behind doubletalk and catchphrases.

I think the best thing they teach is clickbaiting and telling people what they want to hear to keep them coming back.

lately I've gotten over 100k a day and I'm seeing around £25 a day and this is the best my channels ever done, I thought that was good lmao.
Now I'm questioning everything.

maybe YouTube just varies that much? Shed obviously doing something right.

Shes blatantly lying to get views, only thing i can think of, i have one video with over 130k views and even that would have given me only 200 pounds well according to my stats in tube buddy anyway, i cant have any of it though

I've heard that you get about $1 per 1000 views. On my minecraft channel it seems I get around half of that, but it's a pretty small channel.

Estimated Earnings: $0.73

One of my most popular videos have 3.6k views and I've earned $3.09 from it so that is very good actually.

Good? No, sir. I believe the correct term is "damn near incredible."

I'm happy if I can get 100 views per day and on the VERY rare times I've gotten upwards of 500, I've had to contemplate what to do with all of my YouTube fame.

All about perspective I suppose :)
