10K Subs Allows You To Appeal A Video Before Going Public?

Does anyone know if this is true or not? I heard this from someone but no idea how true it is. If you have at least 10k subs you can have your video manually reviewed before going public? In other words while the video is still unlisted or private with no views?

If you believe that your video is suitable for all brands, you can request manual review. We receive many requests to monetise videos every day and review these submissions as quickly as possible.

If your channel has more than 10,000 subscribers, we will review your unlisted video (regardless of view count). If your channel has fewer than 10,000 subscribers, right now we’re only able to review videos with at least 1,000 views in the past 7 days.

It's true dude. I can confirm. On the other hand I also have a gaming channel with 305 subscribers and I was having a dilemma if to post gaming videos on my main channel or not. YouTube demonetized my two latest videos uploaded on the gaming channel so they decided the dilemma for me. I've uploaded one of the videos on my main channel and it's not yet demonetized, but it's unlisted for some days now. So it's either someone flagged these two videos on the gaming channel or the bot is more harsh on smaller channels it was demonetized as well. I am waiting to see the outcome of both appeals.

Sorry but I have to ask this, I'm assuming you work for youtube and have inside knowledge on this? I will test the theory next time I have a chance. Kinda tired of losing money on videos I shouldn't be losing money on.

Haha I don't work for youtube. I just copy and pasted what I've found from their recent announcement on Oct 26th. If you go under help forum section you will be able to find that info too. It's sadly the case right now. My most recent video got hit and I can't appeal until 1k view. That's really sad how its effecting small youtubers :/
My video is just a simple music video and doesn't have any of those things from the list of non suitable for advertise. So I can only hope it gets 1k view :/

Thanks alot. I guess I have been losing out on money for no reason. I had no idea I could do this! A little mad now but also happy. It sucks for smaller channels tho. I hope youtube continues to improve this system because right now it is absolutely terrible.

This is good to know, but fortunately I’ve only had insignificant videos get demonetized (ones that get less than 1,000 views a week).
