I Love YTtalk
Hey folks,

My contact with my MCN is up in at the end of February. Was wondering if anyone here has any insight for a good network to be looking into. I currently have about 1 million views per month and the channel will have over 100,000 by the time my contact ends. Gaming Channel.

I'm looking at Polaris, Curse, and Omniamedia. I was also recruited by CDS quite a few months ago, but had to tell them I was in contract.

Whatcha guys think? Curse sounds nice due to the lack of lock in contract. Polaris would be nice from a networking perspective for when I go to events like PAX.

Polaris - I think this MCN works on basis of "Who they want" not "I want in" - so unless they invite you, you can forget about them (but if Im wrong, I hope someone will correct me :) )
OmniaMedia - from what Ive heard they are pretty average + I have personal grudge against them for fake content IDs on my content :/
Curse - you can go always with Curse with their 90% split and as you said it is no lock-in.

So if no network contacts you with interesting offer I would say go for Curse :)

Yeah Polaris you cannot join however i was given a polaris contract at the end of my bog standard RPM contract (though its makergen now). However unless you get 90% rev share i'm not too sure it was any different to being in any other network, you get your own "manager" which is basically someone you can complain to if something goes wrong not much else than that.

I would say curse or omniamedia, i am currently thinking omniamedia as they manage everyone and have 90% rev share. But curse also has of course no lock in and 90% rev share so either of the two really. Though i've heard (as you mention networking) omniamedia are very active (unlike my experience in polaris) in that they try and hook you up with events and other youtubers alot as omnia are a smaller company.

Curse is good, but i'd go with anyone that offers at least 85% and managed. I would not want to deal with youtubes copyright auto content id ever again.

I'm with TGN (BBTV) and on a custom made deal which is based on RPM/CPM threshold. Since you've got decent monthly views and pretty good subscribers count, I would recommend you decline any initial offers from any network and make sure to negotiate a better deal - trust me, they can offer you more! Don't just give up on 10% of your earnings, try to aim for 95-5 or possibly something similar like I've got which seems to be amazing and I love it! Also, getting a channel manager is a must, normally they've got quite good knowledge how YouTube works and could help you with a lot of great advices or provide valuable feedback as well as be your first contact with network itself.

Reach out to as many networks as you can, schedule Skype calls or chat through email and see what they can offer to you. I've tried to reach out to both Omniamedia & Machinima (this one was just out of curiosity to see what they're offering), but never heard back from either one lol. You might be more lucky. :)
