Taking over the world... ...one kid at a time!
Our video movie "Fast Cars, Bad Kids" hit 100 million views last night.
This is a special movie to me. It's the movie that started me down the path to career YouTuber before there even was such a thing. Before FCBK, I was making movies as a hobby just to show my family and friends. My old year 2010 habits are in this movie: it's full of ripped film clips and music that kept it from ever being monetized, something I'd never do now that I do this for a living.
But FCBK was never intended to make us money, it was intended to just get viewed and hopefully be enjoyed. This was the first movie I made specifically with the YouTube audience in mind. I was hoping if I really pushed, I could pass the coveted 1,000 view mark. That was my only goal.
It's the movie where I spent hours filming in a hot car in the summer with two cranky toddlers. It's the movie I almost gave up on due to all the green screen chroma-key problems I had in the editing room. Then I decided "What the heck, no one's going to watch it anyway".
Maybe you've even seen it? Thanks for watching! We never made a dime off Fast Cars, Bad Kids, but our whole channel got launched into the stratosphere.
