Zooming in and out

Depends completely on each video. Play around in editing and find what works best for each video.

Go watch a movie and tell me how much zooming you see.

None. It's all set shots of a duration less than 30 seconds.

Zooming is bad, particularly with low end equipment that can't focus and zoom at the same time.

Never zoom.

For gaming channels, I find it very useful. Good for drawing attention to something that you can see in real time but might go missed by someone watching the video.

I agree that for a video using cameras and such its not usually a good idea, but for gaming videos i'd highly recommend you get an editing program that gives you the option.

I'd say it depends on the game really. As some of the above posters mentioned it could be useful to point out a specific object or something that's hard to see. Otherwise I'd say no.
