Hi guys thought I would share the information with you guys and yes its true new channel design again but this time its just the homepage except more **** and banners will be available for everyone and much more I think this is a terrible idea but let me know what you think.

Also check the links in the description to find out more I know its not the best video but its mainly for the purpose to deliver you guys some exciting news well absolutely bad idea and news but I guess some of you will find it interesting I hope you like the news because I sure don't thank you.

Tecnically banners will be available for everyone but they've called it "channel art" it's the only "art" you get on your channel as you can't have a custom background anymore.
 
I wonder why they changed it, I mean the new background really features your videos but just doesn't look visually appealing. I guess they don't really care and are just focused on showcasing the videos.

I know ;) lol but I wanted to be make easy and simple to understand.
 
Sounds awesome !!! Hopefully people will focus more on the videos now than the background. I like my background but it's not more important to me than my videos.

I'm not worried because I'm working on a blog that will go with my channel, similar to how LAHWF has his own website. So I can customize my site my way

And the new channel layout is much smarter than the old one, plus it works better with mobile views. And mobile views are much more popular than they were a year ago. people need to understand that the internet changes fast....why don't people understand that....it was only a year ago we had the last youtube update....


look how much easier the channels are to navigate now..with all the tags. The programmers know what they're doing brah
 
@Mickey Mau5 - True but the annoying thing is they could make it so you could make a banner for mobiles and still keep a background for the PC.. looking at that much white and everything being left aligned isn't a nice sight to see when you're watching lots of videos :) and the fact that the links on the left and right aren't even links to do with your channel they're other things that people are subscribed to means it's going to be harder to keep people on your channel!
I do like how they've layed out the tags and things but this could have been added to the old backgrounds very easily. I just think they should give us the option to keep the old layout.

I respect you're opinion but I reject them all :D l think this is a bad idea the new layout is terrible and it does not make it easier in any way to navigate if anything they made it more complex and I believe simplicity is king ;) don't get me wrong making videos is more important then having a proper background and that but having one helps you express you're art and creativity and other now they are taking that away sorry but I think you are dead wrong but I am glad someone likes because like I said I sure as hell don't:mad:.

They wanted it to match the re-branding all Google`s site have been going through :)

Yh I understand but I don't like it, it will not end well and if they really do go through with this at least give us a choice and not just force it on us.
