YouTube Live Streaming - Internet speed?

can anyone tell me if you need good internet connection to stream? So if someone watching you while you stream it counts as a view ?
And I heard that is better to stream on Twitch is it right? Thanks

For 720p? 1-3mb up
for 240-480? 500kb-2mb

Yeah, you definitely want a fairly good connection to stream.
Also, I have heard that Twitch is A LOT better.

We tried to stream a show from a mobile broadband connection in a field (about the same as 4G) and it had trouble coping. It didn't work. Anything in a city is fine. Not scientific but we learned what works.

1.5 mb = 720p and that's what you want to aim for. Also twitch has much better chat compared to youtube, and youtube has been known to just cut off randomly
