I think the main point in the academy is to get the users to optimise their new channel layouts. That in turn will probably see views and subscribers increase.

At first I only got an email on my second channel, signed up with my main channel and later got a last minute invite on both channels, including the one that was already signed up...

Well, to be honest, I could use their tips. I feel like my channel is in disarray since I have changed over. Like it is harder for people to see individual videos, ya know?
