Hi, can i directly monetize software tutorials like sony vegas or adobe after effects? Or do I need to claim it with a partnership?

You can but make sure that you do some commentating with them. If you use soundtracks and they don't belong to you, be careful about monetizing them.

Thanks, also, how are copyrighted sounds detected? Does the video have to be reported first?

Sometimes it can be reported, but usually when its being processed its just matched with YouTube's song database.

They're detected through a Content ID matching system. :) For the soundtracks, just make sure that you never dispute against a claim that you've been given permission to use the song. You can get a copyright strike if you do that, and this is bad since it makes it much harder for you to get partnered with a network if you haven't done that already.

I believe that youtube check it as its processing.
So I'm safe as long as it doesnt say that I'm using a copyrighted song after it processed?

Honestly, if I were you I would upload it first, then if there are no copyright notices, monetize it. For some games I play I get copyright notices for visuals. I would play it safe, you just never know.
