Worth monetizing a personal Vlogging channel?

Hey YTTalk,

I am going to be creating a separate vlog channel where I'll just be talking about random crap for 10 minutes.

Would it be worth monetizing. Also, if I monetize the videos, does that mean I get the Partner background and other benefits?

its worth it for sure, nothin wrong if your making a bit more from having both channels making cash even if its pennies they add up quick. i have no idea about the second part as i only have 1 channel
 
I say, why not? I monetized, starting back in July of 2011. Not an issue one. As always, with Adsense, just be careful though. They're ban-happy.

You only get the banner if you're either partnered through YouTube itself, or through a network (for now, anyway).

yep thats correct, im curious to see how many partnership features they will roll out in the future
