What's wrong with my avatar?

When I requested feedback, a few people (including myself) realized that there seems to be something a bit off about my avatar. I want it to include Sonic and all, but I can't seem to pinpoint what's overall wrong with it.

Are the Z's in a bad font? Is the character too small? Does he look like a giant compared to the background? Someone please help me out on this and tell me if there's anything I can do to make it look better

well yeah, sonic looks pretty big compared to the background.
you could try to make sonic smaller and like above him have Zoom spelled and underneath him Zike. perhaps thats a option, and i dont think there is something wrong with it, it maybe just looks a bit casual and normal, not like you have tried something unique.

Looks fine to me, if anything though he does look like a giant but a lot of pictures of characters like that always had pictures where you could seen cities behind them

There's too much going on. Having a background that's complicated, like in yours, is unappealing to the eyes becasue it's odd to see so much detail in such a confined space. Also the font used to say "Z" doesn't match the color scheme.

I agree with Swaggy completely, though i think you can write Zoom or something in your avaatar

This ^ The over cluttered background is the main thing that throws it off.
