What type of backlinks influence YouTube Search Ranking the most?

Hi All,

We all know YouTube Search is the second largest search engine. But it certainly does not work like Google Search. The factors affecting YouTube search ranking are pretty different than Google Search. While engagement seems to be the most important factor (Likes, Share, Views, Retention, Comments), what other factors can have a direct impact on your YouTube Ranking? To be more specific about the question, do backlinking have an effect at all?

When we talk about backlinking for YouTube, it isn't as easy as the usual backlinking anybody does. There basically will be different types:

• Anchor Text Backlinks (The usual ones)
• Video Embeds
• Raw Video URL Links
• Channel URL Links
• Playlist Links

All of the above can be treated as backlinks, so what kind of backlinking has the maximum effect on your YouTube Search Ranking? Years ago, backlinks seemed to have some effect if not all on YouTube Search ranking.

it used to,
I remember in 2013 a lot of people would backlink to each other channels in the more info section for this reason but Youtube seems to have lessened the weight of that in my opinion.

Not heard of this though, backlinking from one channel to another through info section on the channel? Correct me if I got this wrong. It would be an internal link on YouTube itself.

Wondering if anyone has done such experiments like the backlinks mentioned above embeds or any other kind to influence YouTube search ranking?
