Other What Motivates You to Study?

I'm making a video later this week about some tips to get motivation to study. I have some ideas that I'll be talking about, but I'm going to be including tips from other people in the video too. If you have anything that works well for you that you'd like to contribute, post below by Thursday. I'll include your channel name + link when I mention your piece of advice.

Money.... For certain things it's just having the knowledge that is the payoff

Study? The only thing i study is.. nothng, i left school, finished college! haha!

When i was at school, my parents motivated me loads - 'if you get bad grades, im kicking you out' - 'if you get really good grades, ill give you £500' - Thats a real motivator right there.

I'm home schooled, but what motivates me to do school (or for public schoolers, study) is thinking about when it's done and I'm free for the rest of the day XD

What motivates me to study:
1. That when I sit in the lecture, I don't feel stupid because I have no idea how to do the exercises.
2. I always aim for good results in my exams.
3. I know that if I wont study hard, I would not be able to make it. But I know that once I've got my bachelor in International Logistics Management, I will be able to get a very good job and might have a great career, so I will be able to have a big family without financial worries.
4. It's a great feeling to accomplish something. And in some of the stuff I am actually interested in so it's fun to study for it.

It depends on what you are studying for I suppose. Are you studying for a stupid test that noone cares about and won't apply to your future? Or are you studying something that you are passionate about and truly want to learn more on.

Even after college, you will never stop learning. Whether it be life, job related or dream related. I study all the time, and used to spend most my nights studying vfx work. I did this because I truly enjoyed it and wanted to learn more. However you put me in a Math class where you have to know Triangle plus square = Q. Then I am going to laugh, guess on the test and go home and study something I want to learn that will benefit my future.

Really my main motivator is that I will be able to get it over with and will not have to think about it later. I don't know about you but if I put something off until later it will be stuck in my head up until I do it so it's better to get it over with. Also who doesn't love that great feeling after you know that all of your work is done!!!

Being able to apply the knowledge you gain is what I really enjoy and what helps motivate me. I study law. It's nice, for example, to be able to give advice to a friend concerning his possible liability for the damage caused by goods he imports from outside the EU to sell here.

Thanks everyone, I'll be shooting on Friday and I'll use some of these in the video. If I use your piece of advice, I will be sure to let you know when the video is up, and I will show your YT channel username :)
