I was wondering if someone could explain to me this whole directorship thing to me including the pros and cons of being one.

Pro: your video might get more exposure if you have a directorship on a popular channel

Con: the views aren't going to be on YOUR channel, they'll be on the other channel -- and people probably won't bother to go to your channel to view it again.

Con: All the money/views/exposure gained won't really be for you. It's someone else gaining money with none of the work.

Depends on the channel offering it. Usually you need content relevant to their channel, and decent videos (which is subjective, but as long as the channel owner likes it you should be fine). I personally don't rate them, you're just handing over your views to someone else.

If you use someone big then it will probably send a few people over (by big I mean someone with 10k subs+), but uploading your videos to a small channel with about 60 subscribers or whatever will be totally fruitless.

For some of them yes and for others No basically there are a bunch of networks that have directorship programs out there such as the one i am with called Necessary Gaming.
